God Created
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1 NKJV)
Men have been struggling to discover the origin of the universe since shortly after the creation I suppose. Big Bang theories, primordial slime, and such things are thought to be the original place and cause of the universe. However, all of these theories fail to address the obvious, which is how does something come from nothing.
Obviously, there had to be a creative force. The Bible tells us that God was that creative force. He was not part of creation like a primordial slime, but was eternally existent outside of the universe He would create.
God is the most logical explanation for the universe. The only reason men reject this truth is that they reject God. Read Paul’s testimony about this rejection.
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown [it] to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible [attributes] are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify [Him] as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man——and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.” (Romans 1:18-23 NKJV)
Why does man spend so much energy trying to discredit what is obvious? The answer is simple. To believe in a Creator, makes you accountable as a creature.
How does that make you feel? Do you resent being a creature? I hope not for then you would be a fool as the passage above says. Search your heart carefully for your response will argue for your eternal destiny as “without faith [it is] impossible to please [Him], for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and [that] He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV) Amen.
