Abundant Supplies

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” (Ephesians 3:20 NKJV).

There is nothing too big for God to do. There is a stipulation that it be in accordance with the power that works in us. This limits the work to that which is within the nature of God. However, He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think in faith, faith taking the place of the phrase, “according to the power that works in us.”

My dear friends this is a great encouragement to seek great things for God’s kingdom and glory. It is God’s desire that we bring glory to His name. Does a father give his son a stone when he asks for bread (Luke 11:11)? Will God not bless a work that glorifies Him, and is conducted by one who loves Him, who walks circumspectly? Surely He will supply what is needed according to His great power.  Certainly He is able to do so.

However, there are many reasons why God may delay or withhold blessings. He may use a lack of abundance to keep your heart close to Him. Remember Agur said, give me neither poverty nor riches lest I be full and deny Thee or be poor and steal (Proverbs 30:8-9).

Therefore, if the Lord has shut up the flow of blessing, know it is not because He is not able to bless. It is because it is not profitable for you that He bless right now. Still, have confidence that He will supply what is needed, and is able to supply exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think.

Imagine what God could do if you really walked in holiness and faith everyday?
